Best Book I've Read in a Long Time!
Ella Minnow Pea is, by far, the most creative book I have read in a very long time. Mark Dunn, a playwrite, wrote the book to prove he could write a novel. The story is set on an East coast island devoted to the worship of Nelvin Nollop, the author of the famous sentence "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog." As the letter tiles fall off the worshipped town square statue, the letters are eliminated from the town's vocabulary as well as the book text. Dunn does an excellent job expanding characters' vocabulary and creatively spelling new words. It's a short book that is definitely worth the read!
