Double Dragon Advance (Game Boy Advance)
1 of 1 found this helpful After purchasing Double Dragon Advance for Game Boy Advance, I knew right away that I'd be in for a treat. The game, just like it's original arcade predecessor, is a side-scrolling beat-em-up, where you start off duking it out with baddies left and right through seven or eight stages.
Graphically, DDA isn't anything special as it almost exactly replicates the original--which came out c. 1987. But still, it animates nicely and there are more moves that you'll be able to pull than in either Final Fight of Streets of Rage.
The sound department in DDA isn't exactly the best you'll hear either. I'd rate it average at best. But then again, listening to the score isn't why we play these types of games to begin with.
Overall, I found DDA for the GBA to be a fun gaming experience. And even though some may have felt that the length of the game was a tad short, it really isn't. I also happen to own Final Fight, a similar type of game on GBA, which only takes about half as long to complete. And of those two, DDA is easily better.
