You'll feel closer to La Diva if you read this!
As I'm reading the book it sounds very personal, things you would only tell your best friend; thus, feeling much closer to La Diva. I admire her courage to put all this in writing for the public, whether a fan or not, because she's telling the world she has nothing to hide and wants everyone to learn from the challenges she had to face in life. While you read, you can hear La Diva telling you in person her story as if you were two friends just reminiscing about life and now it's her turn to tell you her story before she says to you, "le toca a uste comadre". If you've listened to her album "Mi Vida Loca", she talks for a few seconds before each song about brief difficulties in her life; that is the tone of voice I hear in my head as I continue to read page after page. Definitely a good read and much more meaningful because she approved it while she was alive. None of this Rivera family drama and everyone telling their version of Jenni's life. This is all her. It's a life lesson for all who read this because she's the perfect example that when you want something with all your heart you can achieve it and no matter what life throws at you we should remain strong and not let life break you.
