Click, flick and tap; it's as easy as that, fantastic product!
I originally bought this product to replace an older Windows Phone 7. I loved the OS and the feeling of the last HTC I had, I decided that I should go for HTC again and was not disappointing. Sorry about the formating, but I covered all bases! *Features:Compared to iPhone's, Windows Phone's have a lot of well made built-in features. Calculators, alarms, calendars, mail, all the basic staples you might like with a twist; some sync up with your Hotmail to make an awesome synchronised experience. Making an appointment in your phone will appear in Outlook, writing a recipe in OneNote will sync with the SkyDrive so you can access it anywhere with internet and that event you said you'd go to next week on Facebook? Yes, your phone will remind you a day before that it's coming up if you've connected your Facebook account to your Live account. *Camera:The camera isn't fantastic, but neither is an iPhone's. If taking pictures of your lunch is your cup of tea then the camera will do great for you. Tapping the screen will focus the camera where you've tapped or you can press the button for auto-focus. HTC WP's come with built-in filters to change your sandwich picture into lovely sepia tones, or do a useful auto-correct of a seemingly dull photo. *Ease of Use:You won't find an easier phone to use anywhere else on the market. With two simple screens to switch between and an easy-to-find search button, finding that pesky obscure App has never been easier. When I first used a WP, I thought it lacked so much. But when I started looking for the things I wanted, they were already preloaded. The system was so simple it felt like it was nothing when it had everything. It also incorporates the use of sweeping gestures, much like iPhone and Android, but personally I much prefer how WP's react to your touch than any other phone, mainly because it's so responsive.*Social Networking:My main purpose for buying this phone was to use it primarily for texting and social networking. The Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook Apps work beautifully and seamlessly with the phone, each built to keep with the phone OS only with their respective company colours. The Pinterest App did leave much to be desired though. The phone also comes with built-in social networking, which just allows some of the basic Apps to interact with your life on a more personal level. Joining your Twitter and Facebook accounts to your Live account lets you get updates on what your friends are talking about in the contacts list and Facebook events & birthdays will appear on your calendar. *Battery Life:Continual hard use of the data-needy services chew battery like you won't believe, and can easily kill the phone in a day. But I'm talking lie in bed and just surf use. Continual texting, updating of social networks and other such things will kill the battery in two days, while sporadic use of the phone will kill it in about 3-4 days. Great battery for a smart phone of it's size.*Size:The HTC 8X is about 1/3 larger than an iPhone 5, though most of this is screen space. Key size is 50% larger than iPhone's, so hitting the right key with larger fingers isn't difficult. Screen size is also fantastic if you social network a lot.*What I Dislike:I'm dissapointed at the lack of extremely popular apps that are available on Android or iPhone, and the absence of support for such Apps. Instagram is not available on WP, and while Viber is, it's known to be unstable. Honestly, this is the only problem I have with it
