What a classic for years to come.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the best movie that I think Meryl Streep and Robert Redford ever did--the chemistry between them is incredible. And, the scenery, the beauty of Africa, is undescribable. The plane ride the two of them take together make you feel like you are really there. Great movie, great story and it is a true story. I just got the DVD, but has the VHS before that and have watched it 50+times. Gotta see it!

A movie to watch over and over.
1 of 1 found this helpful The number of great actors in this movie is amazing and the plot is more inventive than you think at the beginning. And, of course it is all about holding to your principles, even when it seems all the odds are against you. There is some strong language, especially by Sam Elliott (can't imagine someone talking that way in the presence of the President), but I suppose it fits the role. Highly recommend.
