Canon EOS M3 24.2 MP Digital Camera (Black) + EF-M 22mm Lens Kit
08 August 2016
Compatible with Canon EF and FD lenses.
For those who are long time Canon system owners-users with EF and FD (manual focus) lenses, this allows image making with these lenses. The idea of mirror less camera is intended to be small, light weight, compact with good digital image quality using the M3 with Canon EF -L series lenses dwarfs the camera but maintains image quality and usability of both EF and FD lenses. Supporting the lens with M3 attached is a must as the M3 body mount has no possible way to hold a Canon 70-200mm f2.8L, 300mm f2.8 or similar lens. Using the M3 with manual Canon FD lenses requires setting the camera to "fire with no lens" or nothing happens when used with non-electronic lenses. This was the prime reason for purchase. Digital image quality is good. Really little to disagree about here. HD video quality is good too. User interface is much like other Canon digital cameras making the transition easier for those who have owned-used other Canon digital cameras. Much like other modern mirror less cameras today, it has a pile-O-features that the majority of users might never use. What is important, actual image making is simple once the camera has been set up. Highly recommended to add the electronic view finder or a viewing hood like the Swivi (bulky but fits good enough) normally used with DSLRs as it has the same problem with all view screen cameras in sunlight, mostly useless view ability of the image to be created. Really a bargain for what this mirror less camera cost relative to it's performance overall. Only time will tell how well it holds up and endures over the test of time.

Orchestra!
I watched this program when it initially aired on PBS during the early 1990’s. This is one of the best programs I know of to introduce anyone who is curious about classical music and what makes an Orchestra work and what is required to deliver an expressive musical performance for any audience. Sir George Solti and Dudley Moore complement each other’s personality very well in this program, when Solti is too serious, Moore is adds humor, when Moore is too silly, Solti and direction and discipline. Dudley Moore’s piano performances are good which may come to a surprise to many, as he was known as a Jazz musician and actor, but not as a classical pianist. Both Moore and Solti have been involved with music since their early childhood, which shows in their passion for music during their entire lifetime. The musical pieces presented are some of the most significant classical music works in the history of music. While many would consider these works “War Horses”, they still hold great musical significance and expression of the human condition. The members of this Orchestra are all in their early adult hood and are talented, promising musicians who worked hard and used their musical gifts well during their time under Solti’s direction. I’m sure ever member of this musical group gained much from this experience. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who is curious about classical music or would like to watch Dudley Moore and Sir George Solti again. They are both missed greatly by the musical and performaning arts community.
