Perfect for me, but not for everyone.
I love the Storm 2. I use it mainly for the primary applications (contacts, calendar, phone, e-mail, and messaging). It took a while to get used to the virtual keyboard, but I find it easy to use, especially with the predictive text feature that even picks up names from your contacts. There are plenty of apps that I like (Google maps, travel dictionaries, book-reader software, but many BlackBerry applications are not designed for use with a touch-screen phone. That is gradually changing. The web browser is good, but not stellar. Unfortunately, many websites assume, because it is a BlackBerry, that it cannot play videos that it is capable of playing. I have watched full-length movies on it. The Wi-Fi is a good feature, but I usually don't need it because Verizon's 3G signal usually serves me just as well. You cannot web browse and talk on the phone at the same time, but you can use it as a modem for your computer, either through a USB tether or via Bluetooth. The operating system is not as slick and polished as that of the iPhone, but I have a removable memory card, and I can easily do file transfers (photos, audio files, video files, etc.) with a USB cable. An iPhone cannot do that, and iPhone users are stuck with AT&T (at least for now). Unlike most Verizon phones, this one works internationally as well as domestically because it is also a GSM phone with a SIM card included. Verizon's got a reasonable international plan that can be activated temporarily if you want to take the phone to a foreign country on a business trip or on vacation. I do not play games, but I suspect this is not the phone you want if you play lots of games.
