A BLAST FROM MY PAST
I GREW UP IN THE 80's WHEN PREPPY BECAME A "CLIQUE" IN HIGH SCHOOLS AND WELL-TO-DO AREAS. IT DEFINED WHO YOU WERE AND WHERE YOU CAME FROM. IT WAS ALSO A WAY OF LIFE FOR MANY PEOPLE. YOU NOT ONLY DRESSED AND LOOKED THE PART, BUT YOU SPOKE AND ACTED THE PART. I GREW UP IN HINSDALE, IL., A WEALTHY FAR WESTERN SUBURB OF CHICAGO. THE BOOK IS BASICALLY A MANUAL FOR HINSDALE LIVING. THE BOOK ALSO EPITOMIZES THE 80's "GREED IS GOOD" DECADE. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT I PURCHASED THE BOOK TO REMIND ME OF WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE WHEN OUR ECONOMY WAS GOOD AND STRONG. IT'S FUN TO REMINISCE ONCE IN A WHILE AND SNEAK AWAY FROM REALITY IF NOT FOR JUST A FEW MINUTES.

The jacket has met my expectations of a product by The North Face. I’ve been buying North Face products since the 90’s and have always been satisfied. The Millerton rain jacket fits perfectly. Looks good and the quality is excellent.

An American classic!
A quintessential American classic! Loved it the first time I watched the theatre release when I was younger. Now my kids and their generation are enjoying this classic. I love this movie even more so because I'm a native of Chi-town (even though I root for the Cubbies), my dad was a White Sox fan.
