About
Hello, and welcome! We are a husband & wife team, Elliott & Emily, located in Central Wisconsin. We have two small children, Wyatt 5, & Ellie 3, who are a testament to the durability of our furniture. But this all started years before the kids, when he made me a bed frame for my birthday. Then not long after, he helped me build a table & chair set for my mom. It was beautiful. Soon after he was asked about making some bunk beds. It just kept going over the years from there, making a piece or two here & there on request or out of our own needs & wants. When we found out we were expecting our first child there was NO hesitation. He was building the crib. It was the most beautiful crib I d ever seen (though I m a bit partial to it for obvious reasons). My husband was pretty much born with wood in his blood. His family has been traced back to the Viking era Vikings & all along the way they ve been in wood working of one sort or another. He started very young himself, as his dad owned a sawmill. He started making small things to take to craft shows as a child & hand peeling logs at his dad s mill. Eventually he worked his way up to Sawyer. His dad actually sold his business when Elliott was a teenager. So, Elliott ventured out on his own doing general carpentry & eventually started his own sawmill & log home company. He manufactured & built many beautiful log homes over the years. He loved what he did. And it showed. The housing bubble bursting was the beginning of the end for Willow Creek Log Homes though. Since then he s gone back to old skills like logging, finish carpentry, manufacturing log railings & stairs... But all of those things meant not being home much. He was exhausted all the time, barely home, miserable missing his babies growing every day, our garden was suffering, it was getting hard to keep up with the chickens, you get the idea. We were struggling to stay sane & give our children our best. Something had to change. So, after some pondering & weighing
