Perfect replacement for a TM822G that Optimum started charging for
7 of 7 found this helpful Have a TM822G, but Optimum just started charging their $5 a month rental fee so we decided to buy one. Looked online and the only real difference between the TM822G and TM822A is supposedly the compartment to be able to put in an optional backup battery, and this unit is significantly less than the TM822G units I have seen. Unit arrived today and I was able to get it working without issue. Note that it did need to go through several reboot cycles on its own and with me pulling the power before it was fully initialized but after that it started working perfectly.
If it is as reliable as the TM822G was, we should have many years of trouble free service.
