Nearly perfect.
I've gone through many IEM's over the years, and my previous favorite was the Monster Turbine Pro Copper. Unfortunately those developed a buzzing in one ear due to driver flexure when inserting/removing (crackling) over time. To find a replacement that sounds the same or similar I thought would be impossible. I also have a deep ear canal that can't seal without a deep triple flange. Typically anything other than the bullet style IEM doesn't align properly with my ear canal and I can't get a seal without stuffing the whole thing in (which doesn't work with large bulky IEM's).
Fortunately I found the Final Audio E5000. After reading countless reviews, I thought this was the IEM for me. These are small, lightweight, and can be easily inserted with a perfect seal using the comply foam tips, not even my typical triple flange. The seal is excellent and easy to obtain. No driver crinkle when inserting into the ears either. The fit/comfort is amazing; it's almost like they're not there. Not fatiguing at all.
As for the sound, the profile is quite bass heavy, which is my preference. The lower mids and mids seem a bit "flat" by comparison, but still pop/punch enough. The balance and overall sound signature is just so pleasing and comfortable. I normally have to run a parametric EQ to get the overall signature I want, but with these I just run them flat and it sounds perfect. Paired with my Onkyo DP-X1A DAP, and replacing the cables with a balanced 2.5 TRRS pair is the perfect marriage. I don't even need to run on "high" gain setting, normal is just fine - and these are reportedly difficult to drive due to the extremely low sensitivity. No problems whatsoever.
Debating buying another backup pair "just in case" - they're just so good, and I know these won't be produced forever.

Beautiful Sound
3 of 3 found this helpful This thing sounds AMAZING and has so many features missing in more expensive or similar products. Everything is near perfect. The only two things I've noticed that aren't that great:
Battery life doesn't seem to be as advertised. I get around 4-6 hours battery with standalone mode, which is supposed to do 10+??
XDAPLINK is terrible interface software. Really poor for such a good device. Won't go into detail, but if you use it you'll see what I'm talking about. Can't move music onto the device the way I want.
No fast charging.... :(
In the Onkyo player, there is no category "recently added" or "recently played". It has every other category you'd want. Making playlists is a bit of a pain.
But other than that, it seems to be the perfect player. Still 5/5 stars deserving.
