Dark Angel
I enjoyed this series when it was on television. Now my whole family watches the dvds. There is constant action with definite strong female role types. My youngest loves that "DiNozzo" of NCIS plays Logan. The backstory of the Pulse that destroyed computer information and was the downfall of the US is hard to defend to a curious 14-year old. However, it is good food for thought... What would happen if suddenly all those zeros and ones that represent our money was just was gone? Max's world in Dark Angel is one possiblity. Max, with her genetically enhanced capabilities, Robin Hood tendencies, strength and vulnerability along with Logan the "last free voice" add a positive note to what would be an oppresive environment. Max's friends also show how life goes on and how people tend to live and love and have much the same issues regardless of their income level or who is in political power.
