Good but not great

Camera works in manual mode with 1/90th of a second shutter speed but any other speed requires batteries to work. Tried replacing the batteries several times but it seems that I will have to send it in to a camera repair shop to get the electronics fixed. A bit frustrating but it will have to do I guess.
