So thin that it can’t possibly guard your phone like other thicker covers. This is definitely form over function, but will protect against scratches
Firstly this case is not for you if you’re after maximum protection.
However, if you want a case that virtually adds no bulk to your phone this is it. It’s snug without any annoying cutout sections exposing the phone edges, instead it just has openings cut out for buttons and speakers, it’s as though you don’t even have a case. It will offer protection against scratches and scuffs but probably not much protection from a drop. The case doesn’t come above the screen height which leaves the screen exposed but that’s also the beauty of it as it literally just clings snuggly to the case only. Personally I love minimalist design and this takes minimalism to its limit. It’s my favourite cover I’ve ever owned for a phone. It has a rough but not sticky texture so it slips in and out of your pocket easily, a big plus for me.

Best GR to date.
I have owned various versions of this Ricoh including the 35mm film versions. I’ve also owned other premium digital compacts including the Fuji X100s but I’ve always come back to the GR. The GRIII is great and even though cameras on high end phones produce great snaps they are NOT professional by any stretch and cannot compete with a large sensor camera. The shots out of this baby look like they’ve been taken with an SLR.
