The Happiest Baby on the Block

I thought this book was great in that it helped you to understand the reasoning behind infants behavior. It was very eye opening. I also enjoyed learning about child rearing in other cultures. I have recommended this book to friends. However, I did not agree with the theory that you should pick-up your infant every time it cries. I agree more with the theories presented in the book titled "Babywise." We used their philosophy and it has worked wonderful.

Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver

This is truly a great book for kids and adults. The illustrations are very detailed and colorful. Being from West Virginia, I truly appreciate that the pages depict scenic WV landmarks including Backcock Mill, New River Gorge National Bridge, etc. It's also fun that the hardback version includes the CD Take Me Home Country Roads.
