All and all a good buy. Great camera and great money to value ratio.
Its an old school camera with all the down sides of its old age but taking to account how inexpensive it is its a really good purchase. The small and outdated sensor still provides decent quality images and the construction is rugged and very resistant. Due to this it tends to be far more heavy than more recent dslr cameras like the 400D or the 450D but how I said this camera is far cheaper and I think far more durable. There is also and upside to the feature lacking in this camera. There is a non official firmware update that allows it a great more deal of goodies. Its a hacked version of the 10D firmware. It gives the 300D the same options than the 10D(a much more professional camera).

Great camera.
Great camera. Now that they are old you can get this really awesome camera for very little money. It´s sturdy and much more confortable to use that the old 300/350/400 series. I really love it. The downfall of old age are the 6.3 mp sensor and the 3 AF points but if you just want to use it for recreation you shouldn´t have any problems. This are the beginner cameras I recomend in all my clases. Photography students are able to learn with a dslr camera for very little money. Awesome value for money.

An excellent piece of equipment for beginner photographers.
This is an exccellent machine. I`ve had two and even thought I own several DSLR I`m hard to part with this ones. The AF points are great and the metering system is accurate and very realiable. It works with any EF mount lens and is really light to carry. All and all an excellent entry LSR.
