General purpose scanner
1 of 1 found this helpful Good scan quality for paper, picture, slide(positive) and negative films. The only area in need of attention is the slow, almost manual control, involving having to tell the same check boxes for every scan. I replaced a 4 year old model but this one works very well and fits in the same space as the other. The setup was as easy as it gets but I am using a HP PC.

Low cost option
Lower price version of a needed adapter, this time to use a Sony/Minolta flash on a wireless trigger. It worked for the test shots. I have others that are still working after years of occasional use.

Vivitar for Sony
1 of 1 found this helpful While the used flash worked, it functioned perfectly on my Sony alpha, which says something about a flash that does everything I need for wedding reception or spring flowers' fill flash! Finding a TTL flash for Sony is tough but this Vivitar fit the bill, especially when the bill was 1/3 the price (new price) of Sony's top flash. When used on the hot shoe and on the handle mount with remote cable it worked in Auto and manual to make good photos. This purchase was for a used one and I recommend buying a new one next time which I plan on doing.
