Spasmolytic EP, 1991- Skinny Puppy
NOTE: This product is NOT a 'single' as listed, but actually the Spasmolytic EP. This EP is a great dissection of SP's work, featuring material from albums other than 'Too Dark Park.' The centerpiece is the Spasmolytic remix which I feel is superior to the original in that it is much more involved and complex. However, those looking for a direct, (relatively) simple SP track with bite and creepiness, the album version is for you. This is a must have EP for SP fans, especially when considering otherwise unavailable live material/songs are available here and nowhere else (including the Singles and B-Sides Collect releases).

The Voice of World Control- Manufacture
How I've never heard of this band before shocks me! Manufacture was a labelmate to Skinny Puppy on Nettwerk in the late 80's and early 90's. The first album "Terror Vision" is in my opinion superior in complexity and message, but "The Voice of World Control" is also very good. For fans of older Ministry, espcecially "Twitch" with some occasional Front 242, Klinik, Suicide Commando, and Front Line Assembly influences present, noting the track 'Painkiller.' Also includes a very different approach for Manufacture on the track 'Control Yourself,' which feels like a synth-poppy dark wave song. Think old Ministry producing a Covenant song that "Pretty Hate Machine" era NIN stole and rewrote as their own. Manufacture consistently sound as though their releases were written 5 or so years BEFORE release, therefore if you are a fan of older electronica and industrial, buy Manufacture's two albums and 1 EP!
