Very good machine, consider touch screen machine for windows 8
Good machine, very happy. I put my old lap top on ebay, it was getting a bit fragile and wanted something to play music on, so storage was very importnat. This 1TB hard drive does the job.
Minus points: Windows 8, poor battery life, camera a bit fuzzy
Plus points: Big hard drive, big screen to use up that battery, nice feel, most everything else!!!
Windows 8 is not as bad as most people make out. It is counter-intuitive on a non touch screen, It is frustrating on extended desk tops and it doesn't really bring anything to the table over and above windows 7 that I've noticed, and turning it off is stupid stupid.
That is obviously not the fault of the shippers, and I suppose we had to adopt it sometime whatever computers we use.
If somebody asked me "Should I buy a Lenovo G780 for £349.99" I would say "If it is new then YES". I would, in retrospect consider a touch screen machine to take full advantage of windows 8, but that is not saying I am unhappy with this.
