Read the first series in highschool back in 2000, then again recently with my kids. They loved it, and didn't want it to end. Now we're reading the follow up together. We're only coming to the end of the first book, but loving it.

If they cut the desperate additional christian stuff, I would definitely finish reading it.
The content is great, except for the fact that they were desperate to convince people that healthy boundaries were good christian values. I hate christianity, so about %50 of the content grated on me, and was completely superfluous to my needs. I had to stop reading because it frustrated me so. I would buy this book again without the christian stuff, because what I read about the actual boundaries was top notch.
