Works

Once I figured that you must follow the diagram on the switch and ignore the wire colors I got it to work. Not as bright as the old one, but at least it's working.

What I needed

With the spare tire on the back of a Jeep Liberty this allows for normal trailer hookup. For my boat I even added an additional 12" extension so I could swing the tailgate open.
