For fans of manual lenses
The undoubted advantage of the adapter is the possibility of using quality lenses from Nikon with autofocus confirmation.
It is on my copy, unfortunately, the lenses from Nikon are installed too tightly, densely, and it's difficult and uncomfortable to remove them ... But it's a matter of habit.

Simplicity and convenience
A large set of rings, allowing you to use a lot of accessories and equipment on different lenses, or attach some unique cap, nozzle etc.
On the one hand, this reduces the total number and weight of accessories that you store and carry with you. On the other hand, the cost of purchasing additional components is reduced.
To disadvantages would be attributed a slight increase in overall dimensions of the construction.

Convenience and small size
Lovely hot shoe adapter, if you have to use flash from old Sony-Minolta SLR/SLT cameras.
With adapter all functions of flash are fully saved and works.
