Swiss Perfection!!!
I love the Alpina Startimer with white dial, red accents and a light weight stainless steel band. It's comfortable, not too heavy, easy to read, very eye catching. Even the watch repair shop that adjusted the band for my wrist commented favorably about the watch. So far, it has kept time accurately. The Ebay Seller, Fantasticwatches, was great too.

There's no such thing as an average Citizen
The Promaster Tough by Citizen is exactly what I'd hoped for -- rugged, unique appearance, accurate, low/no maintenance, simple by design. What I like, in particular, is the subdued deep olive coloring. I worried, at first, that I might regret going with this color: WRONG! I love the dial color and especially the strap. The strap is as TOUGH as the watch. I wouldn't change it for anything else. The date window is small but, at the same time, adequate for its purpose. This is my fifth Eco-Drive watch-- the State-Of-The-Art in quartz movements. In my mind, Citizen watches are worth far more than what they're selling for--buy them while you can.
