Sniper Elite: Very good game for tactical-style players
This review is for the Playstation 2 version. I can't comment on the XBox game. I play games mainly for the online experience, but single player is fun, too. PRO's: Very tactical. You need to think before you move/shoot. Graphics are pretty good, even online. Great offline 2-player co-op, 8 player online with different game modes. Easier to play than any SOCOM game. CON's: Not many people know about this excellent game. There aren't very many people online playing. BUY THIS GAME and GET ONLINE NOW!!! No headset/voice chat support online. Text talking is a pain to use. I recommend this game for anyone who always grabs a sniper rifle while playing SOCOM or Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. It's like playing the sniper movie "Enemy at the Gates". If you like to stalk your prey, line up the perfect shot, then move to find your next victim, this game is for you. I hope more people pick it up and start playing it online. This is a great alternative to other WWII games and "twitch" style first person shooters. Look me up online: Blast4Me is my name.

Awesome game!
SOCOM 3 Online is like golf; it's frustrating as he## to good at, but when you finally have a good round you end up being hooked for life (that's why it's also called "SO-CRACK"). If you can put in the time and effort to get good, as well as find some friends who work as a team so you ALL win, it's great. I've played KILLZONE, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat all online (single player on all these games is just a warm up for fragging people online), and SOCOM is by far the deepest and most entertaining one of them all. SOCOM single player is okay, and it's worth beating to get all the characters, weapons and especially the ghillie suits, but again, online is what it's all about. Get SOCOM 3 (&1&2)a network adaptor for your PS2, a headset (a must have) and a fast internet provider and GET ONLINE NOW! You won't regret it! Look me up, my SOCOM name is GUTTER-BOY. 50,000+ people playing online on a Saturday night can't be wrong.

A must have strategy/guide book for SOCOM 3 fans.
If you're a SOCOM fan, you should pick up this strategy guide. It is a an excellent guide for the single-player mission, explaining all missions and objectives. It also offers tips on tactics to complet each mission, as well as locations of weapons, equipment,vehicles,etc... If you plan on playing SOCOM 3 online, you'll want to complete the single player mission to unlock the characters and equipment that you can use for online play. Trust me, it's worth the time beating the single player to get the ghillie-suit (a camoflauge uniform that makes you nearly invisible if you stay still), various weapons and equipment (silencers, grenade launchers, front grip, scopes)and this guide book can help you complete 100% of the game. It even includes system link info about the PSP version of SOCOM: FIRETEAM BRAVO. The best part is that the info about online multi-player was written by one of the best SOCOM clans; seasnipers.net They give detailed online map info, as well as strategies for each type of game play (suppression, escort, breach, convoy, demolition, control points and extraction). This is EXCELLENT and it is good to see a game company giving due respect to its hardcore gamers by asking them for input. Buy this guide, you'll reference it often, no matter if you're a SOCOM n00b or a veteran 4 star Admiral. Look me up on SOCOM 1,2,& 3, my call sign is GUTTER-BOY
