Basically it is what it says it is
I have not used the knife very much since I just received it a few weeks ago, but so far I've been pretty pleased with it overall. My main fear that it would not be strong enough to be useful was immediately put to rest when I opened the package, as it's definitely strong and seems pretty well-made. And it really is key-size and fits on my keyring along with my other keys. The only complaint I have so far is that the release button is slightly hard to use, but that's probably the least of my worries. So overall I'd give it a high grade when it comes to usefulness. As for price...it's probably at least an okay deal. However, having said that, I've seen other knives of this quality that sell for as low as $5 or so, and in that respect I think it's maybe a little on the high side. But other than that, pretty satisfied.

Has a major flaw
1 of 1 found this helpful I've had several Light Angels in the past and they've worked well, although they tend to stop working after about 6 months - 1 year (the lights themselves stop working, even with new batteries). But for the price, I can live with that. However, my newest one is lighting up when the motion sensor is activated even during the daytime, every time anyone walks anywhere near it. So I'm sure the batteries will wear down quickly and it will be necessary to replace them twice as often.
Sooner or later I will probably just hardwire a floodlight instead of continuing to buy Light Angels.

Does the job
I have had mixed experience with these, but overall I would say I've been pretty happy with them, and I continue to use several around my house. The light is not nearly as bright as that of an electric light, of course, but that's a given. And in any case, they get surprisingly brighter than I would have guessed, before I'd purchased my first one.
They use batteries and of course sooner or later you've got to replace them. And I had one I purchased several years ago from a different source in which--inexplicably, over a few-week period only about 6 months after I bought it--the individual lights stopped working, one by one, until it died completely. However, as far as I can tell that one was an exception and was something of a lemon.
In the end, though, they work and for a quite reasonable price, in my opinion. I think sooner or later, after replacing a few of them, you might want to consider installing a real light instead. But it would take about 20 years of buying the Light Angels to equal the amount of a light in my situation, so for now it seems like the Light Angels are the way to go.
