Will Be No Good In Near Future...All Public Safety going encrypted
1 of 1 found this helpful This scanner won't do anyone any good in the near future because the majority of all public safety including Poklce, EMS, and FD will be going encrypted in the near future and cannot be monitored on any scanner. This is because of a new federal approved intercommunication system called First Alert will be adapted and all first responders across all 50 states will become encrypted. First Alert and At&t just made a massive deal to allocate all communications over At&t's encrypted data network on a very high radio frequency. Just google "At&t and First Alert" to read all about it.

Great Analog Scanner
3 of 3 found this helpful This is a great scanner. Not too hard to program manually once you get the
hang of it. I also like the fact it has PL tones and receives the miliatary band. I just wished it had more channels and didn't limit only 50 channels per bank.
