Great for retrieving and playing numerous CDs, but concerned for mechanical ruggedness.
4 of 5 found this helpful Although I do use Spotify and Amazon Prime music (with Alexa), I still like playing my numerous CDs. It’s nice to have this Sony 400 CD carousel, which is now paired with a Sony 200 CD player. It certainly beats having to search through stacks of CD cases stored in a cabinet.
After organizing and loading the CDs, I created a spread sheet so location of CDs on the 2 carousels is easy. The sound quality of the 400 CD player is great.
My main concern is for the drive belt and motor that rotate the 400 CD carousel. When it was half loaded, the carousel spun freely. But, now that it is fully loaded, the motor labors to turn the weight of 400 CDs, although it does work. I hope that this unit doesn’t break down.
