Great place to start the journey or Reengage with your love of Analog
Great value integrated Amplifier. Some claim the bass is elevated, but I have not felt that so. Unit has sub woofer out capability. Has both MC and MM Phono connectivity. It has external input on the front for Aux cables. It is a very flexible unit. I appreciate that it has soft clipping, although I have never come close to using it. It delivers plenty of definition at low volumes.

Great Unit and Worthy of consideration if the price is right
This is a high quality unit. It is heavy and very nice sounding. Due to its age it will need some care and a fair amount of deoxit. All of the "VR" series are worthy of consideration. If it is in the "VRX" series you may want to take a pass. I own both the VR 2500 and the VR-7000. I am still using the latter one. The tone is flat and fast. It has plenty of power to drive most speakers. It has a MM phono preamp. The speaker connections are a bit of a problem in today's fat speaker cable era, but can modified to work fine. This unit easily compares to Marantz 2270 in features, but costs thousands less. IMHO, it sounds better too.
