Great Ecological Caravan heater
2 of 2 found this helpful After looking at all the available caravan heating options for free camping, the Ecotherm was the most logical choice for us. When compared to alternatives such as diesel heaters and the option to run generators in a free camping environment, this heater was by far the best choice as it utilizes the already available heat source in a van, the hot water. It does have its limitations in that it will bring the inside van temperature level to a comfortable level on a cool night and maintain that temperature throughout the night. However, we have not had the opportunity to test its effectiveness in more extreme conditions. Installation is reasonably easy provided you study the installation instructions which could be more user friendly. However, if you have reasonable skill at understanding basic plumbing and electrical concepts, installing this unit shouldn't be a problem. There are some online videos and installation instruction if required.

Simple to install and operate
The unit appears to be very functional and simple to operate. It is a great safety device and is essential to monitor dangerous Carbon Monoxide levels in confined spaces such as a caravan where gas is used for cooking.
