Great Iron for Mid-Handicapper
7 of 9 found this helpful Cleveland TA-5 Gunmetal Irons are a good set of clubs for mid-handicappers!
I bought these irons when I was a 18 handicap and dropped down to a 14 while playing these.
Some of the things I like about these irons:
-The gunmetal finish reduces glare and it just looks cool.
-Dynamic Gold SL shafts perform well with these irons
-Moderatly forgiving irons allow you to still work the ball too
I had a lot of other golfers compliment these irons while playing with them.
If you are looking for a good iron that doesn't cost too much and isn't as big as some of the other game-improvement irons out there today then I would recommend these to anyone.
Good Luck and keep it in the fairway!

Perfect club for the mid- handicaps
62 of 65 found this helpful I have played about 10 rounds with these irons and I beleive they are the best irons on the market for mid-handicap golfers like myself. I was playing to a 14 handicap with my old Cleveland irons but since switching to the MX-23's I am down to a 9 and getting better.
Some of the things I like about these irons:
-Thin topline inspires confidence at address.
-Stock True Temper Dynalite Gold shafts
-Grain Flow Forged- gives them a softer feel at contact
-Perfect trajectory
-Very forgiving in 3-6 irons and 7-PW allows feel and workability
Overall I am very happy I purchased these irons and I would recommend them to anyone with a handicap of 5-15. They are very forgiving but you still feel like you can work the ball with them.
Good luck and keep it in the fairway!
***Updated 7/26/2007***
I just wanted to update my review and let everyone know that the MX-23 irons are still in my bag. I have updated every other club in my bag but I have yet to find another set of irons that is better than the MX-23. I hope this helps!

Looks Odd....But performs great on the Greens!
9 of 10 found this helpful The Odyssey Putter Company has produced a lot of great putters over the last decade and the XG Line of putters only adds to their sterling reputation.
The XG #7 putter is the one being reviewed but all of the XG putters have the new "Dual-Insert Technology"
The XG #7 looks a little odd but it's performance on the green is why it is in my bag.
The Dual-insert has a nice "clicky" feel to it which I like and has helped me tremendously with my distance control..which in-turn has decreased a lot of my dreaded 3 putts.
Putters are a very "FEEL" oriented club so I suggest you try this putter at a local golf store before you decide which style suites you best.
I am glad I chose the #7 because I like the extra "Fangs" on the back which help me with alignment and makes it very simple to pick up the ball off the green as the ball fits perfecty in the "Fangs"
Overall, I have finally found a putter that helps me lower my total putts per round and I would recommend the Odyessey XG Line to any golfer struggling with putting. It will remain in my bag for a long time.
Good Luck and keep it in the Fairway!
