Works as promised
1 of 1 found this helpful I used it with my chromecast (2nd gen, 2015) to convert hdmi to analog VGA. But in the end this product can't be used for this purpose. It draws power from the host, in my case the chromecast. The symptoms for the chromecast is overheating with loss of picture and disturbed audio after a while. I solved it by using an heatsink and a small fan. I have since ordered a usb powered hdmi-vga converter.
But the products works flawless other than that, I'm just informing other who might want to use this product as I did. The problem I experience is with the chromecast and not with this converter.
It works perfect with laptops and other equipment that can deliver power to it without any problems.
