Can't beat the price for these
5 of 5 found this helpful I bought these because I wanted a wireless set for work and didn't want to shell out 300 dollars for another pair of Beats. I figured, for the money, even if they sucked it wouldn't be much of a loss. To my surprise, these are great. They sound upper tier, not quite as clear as Beats, just a small tick under, but more bottom end for sure, so to me its a wash on sound. They are also made a bit cheaper, and they won't fit well if you have a pumpkin head. They could have made them just a bit bigger. But all that said, these are more than worth the price and you cannot go wrong with these headphones unless you are just needing to know your headphones cost a fortune. For functionality, sound, bang for your buck and all that, this set of phones is a big winner. I rated them excellent not for sound, quality or price, but for all of those things combined. You don't find many values like this where you feel you could have been ok with paying more, maybe even much more.

Big Tone! Well Made
I have lots of 5 watt tube amps, I kind of collect them. I have a Fender 57 Champ re-issue, Emery Micro and Super Baby, Gibson GA5 Goldtone, and a few I made from kits. This one is my favorite. It blew me away. I bought a refurb and saved huge money and the thing was perfect out of the box. It has BIG sound. I took it apart and while it does have a printed circuit board, the transformers in this thing are HUGE and the components are good and very sturdy. I had a Gold Lion 12ax7 so I put that in and I swapped the speaker out for a Jupiter 8sc, however there was no real need for that, but it did make it sound even better. I saved hundreds on buying a refurb so I could spend a little on that. If you love good tone and little amps, buy one fast!

Great Amp
1 of 3 found this helpful I just got this amp, and normally I may wait to write a review. This is a great amp to me, so no need to wait. Its small, and perfect for home use. The amp itself doesn't seem like anything special in the day and age of modern modeling, effects and all of that, but that is exactly why its so good to me. It sounds like a real warm amp, clean or crunchy it comes through with a special warmth you will be hard pressed to find in any amp in its class of 5 watts. I've owned many of them. Anything in the 299-399 tube amp range will not compare, and its better than most or all of the boutique amps I've owned or built.
This price is high, and for what it does, basically a practicing/recording amp that may seem silly to some, its silly to me, but the value is all there, the cab is fine, the tubes are quality, the speaker is really damn good, the thing was wired by hand and the transformers are good. Its not going to be for everyone and it certainly isn't cheap, but it isn't built cheap either.
I love the amp, it sounds so good and warm and wouldn't give it up for anything. If you like playing blues, rock, singer songwriter and love the old rock tweed sound you won't go wrong here.
I gave it only 4 stars due to a slight rattle at higher volumes. Its not uncommon in amps this small that vibrate so much and I haven't tried to find it and fix it, it isn't that big of a deal, there is a lot packed in a small box, but I'd prefer to eliminate it if I can.
