Battle Network fans, put this one in the standard folder.
I'm a fan of the Blue Bomber, and own almost all of the games in the Battle Network series. This look behind the curtain tells more about the characters (human and otherwise) in it. It is NOT a game guide with stats on the characters, nor is it an encyclopedia with minute data on them. It is a collection of the art of the series plus the thoughts of the artists who created it. For those who just blow through the games, it is of no importance. For those who love the series, there will be no regrets.

If you love Mega Man, you will like this book! No question!
I am an old fan of the Mega Man franchise, especially the original. When I heard of this one, I had to buy it. It has pics and comments from the people who started it all. It is not a compilation of game hints and strategies, and it is not an encyclopedia of in game stats and histories. It is a fun and picturesque view of one of the longest running video game icons in history. My only regret, if it could be called that, is that with new original Mega Man games coming out, there will (hopefully) be a need for sequel. It has a spot reserved on the shelf right next to this one.

I love this book, it was all that I wanted and more.
Mega Man is one of the greatest icons of video games, and I like them all. The book is an excellent visual depiction and description of the evolution of the series. It offers nothing in the way of game hints, and does not delve too deep into the characters, but it offers an excellent introduction to the series with artwork sure to be appreciated by long time fans.
