Believe the hype!

If you are searching for the most affordable, and best sounding small tube amp at $200 (there are not too many of them)...then you've found it! I've played Fender Blues Jr. which is double the price and this amp has good if not better tone (and far better features) at a price that just can't be beat. The newer version with the controls on the front has a far better quality reverb tank than the older versions. It is really lush and can be controlled with a footswitch plug in the back. The tone controls really offer a versatility of sounds, and the cleans are just shimmering, and gain has a great sound that sounds like so many 70s rock hits. It has a sound that is a bit like a Vox, a bit of Marshall, and yet something else all its own. The Celestion speaker certainly helps in that regard. It also takes effects pedals very well with the effects loop, and even a plug for an extra speaker for playing live! The 1 watt/15 watt switch is really great for playing at home. Play this with a Tele or Strat and you will be in heavenI The first time I played it with my Tele I did not stop for two hours! The debate is over...so many reviews of how great this amp is..so just make the buy! You won't regret it. You may be able to get a better price on the Monoprice website though.
