Great option to declutter your workstation
Well-designed product at a good price. The product description shows two different HP item numbers, and this item is actually the QM196AA, as depicted in the photo. The M9X76AA is similar but does not have the power button or activity LEDs on the left front edge of the monitor shelf. The cable shown at the rear of the shelf connects to the docking station so there is no need to reach under the shelf to push the power button on the station itself.
Setup was simple with the "2012 90w HP docking station" for my 640G1. It's easy to line up the docking station with the pins on the stand and lock it in place.
The box contained a small rectangular part that appeared to be an adapter of some sort. Unfortunately neither the included documents nor the HP site include any info as to its use. The item was made for HP by Ergotron, and their site does include an indication that the part is an adapter for a different version of the docking station.
