Compulsive, enthralling reading right to the last page as expected of all the Shardlake series
1 of 1 found this helpful Great descriptions, I feel I am right there living the moments of Tudor life. The story's twists and turns keep the reader drawn in right to the last page and I have learnt more about this period in history than I ever did when young. Satisfying read and can't wait for the next, loved it and all the series.

Great story, fascinating reading.
I had read the 2nd and 3rd books in this series and was completely hooked so finding this was a must. I love the story and am fascinated by all the historical information I am learning without trying. So much research and the details and descriptions make the characters come to life and I feel I really know them. A hard book to put down and I can't wait to start the next one in the series.
