Copper Ant Moat
It's a nice decorative piece, seemingly well made. However, it does not function as an ant moat using plain water. I watched as the ants were able to cross between the center post to the side of the 3/4 inch cup and down to the feeder. From the center post/hanger to the side of the cup is less then .4 inches so two ants working together could easily bridge the gap. This may have worked better if they had used a 1 inch cup which is actually a copper pipe fitting. I wound up using a cedar oil based spray cleaner from Trader Joe's (the green stuff). That deterred the ants and only requires a few drops. So, if you prefer to just use plain water in your moat, this is not for you.
