Glued the tear on my boots with the help...
Glued the tear on my boots with the help of mini clamps! Haven't tried them out yet but the glue seems to have set nice and firmly.

Cheap and functional - just about

glass is quite thin and I have to be extra careful when washing it in case it hits against something and cracks
the plunger is on the loose side and doesn't fit snugly
the plunger has a plastic rim around what looks like a metal filter. The problem I've found is that the way it has been put together means tea leaves tend to get stuck near the plastic bit and dislodging them can be fiddly
I have only used this for making tea and have found it ok. I have another cafetiere (bought from Ikea) that I use for coffee and which is a more sturdy build. Settled for this as in lock down.

An easy and cheap alternative to sound insulation!
I bought this to deal with noise from a neighbour along the party wall in my bedroom - loud TV and conversation etc. It works a treat. I have only used the fan option so can't comment on the other white noise options available, but this one is a gentle purr and I can adjust the volume as required.
I had bought the reduced priced version with the timer issue (needing to unplug each time and so reselecting the noise option each time), so have not used the timer. In hindsight, having the timer option readily available would have been handy as it could then be programmed to switch off after a few hours without staying on all night. That said, I would still recommend this product.
