NEW Melissa & Doug Farm Sound Puzzle - Wooden Peg Puzzle With Sound Effects
22 January 2022
Cute and unique wooden puzzle.
Bought as a gift. Nice wood puzzle with sweet animal pictures. Knobs were alittle small but maybe ok for a child's hands. Did not have the opportunity to see that it worked properly. Am guessing it did Cute idea because the child playing with it learns some hand coordination and is also rewarded with entertaining animal sounds when they replace the puzzle pieces.
Yoko Saito's Scandinavian Quilts (2012, Paperback)

Unique and charming projects.
I like her designs, they are soooo cute. Wish I had time to hand sew all that applique. I have another of her books. One thing I will say, I have been sewing since age five (53 yrs), and have designed some unique stuff, clothes, quilts and alot of things in between, figured out how to best construct them myself, some as pertinent gifts. Anyway, as the author has noted, the books are geared toward intermediate or advanced sewers. So far I've just sat and read and studied the diagrams in the instructions. I recommend almost studying the instructions over a couple times because it is complicated to follow. Or maybe it is just a construction style that I am not used to. I still recommend the book, and would advise a "beginner" who still dares to try, to go slow and maybe not be distraught if they have to redo parts of their project.
