IMPORTANT for all architectural majors or even 3dmax, revit, CAD users!
for an expensive laptop as the m15x, i expected for it to be fast and powerful and run programs without a problem. But no, this laptop is only good for gaming, That is it. It has very poor audio quality which cannot be fixed, this is for all m15x that run windows 7 ultimate. The touchpad is TERRIBLE! I am an architectural major and work with revit, autocad and 3dmax and these programs ran less then average on this laptop, i was very disappointed. Skips so much on 3d rotations, renderings take much longer than usual and got a blue screen after only 4 months of use. And thats with an upgraded samsung 128gb ssd!! So after 4 months sold the damn thing and made the best investment ever, which is to buy a mac pro and added parallels on it and all those programs run amazing in my mac pro, its amazing! Graphics dont skip, 3d rotations run sooo smooth, audio is perfect and renderings are pretty damn fast on this machine. This goes for anyone who majors or works with the same programs, I advice you to NOT buy this huge, bulky piece of nothing because thats exactly what it is, NOTHING. Best advice is to buy a MACBOOK PRO, add parallels and run windows on it. Or buy a SAMSUNG series 7 chronos, my roommate has it and it is amazing and he majors in architecture as well. You will see for yourself how well you have invested your money.
