2019 GPS Mazda Navigation BDGF66EZ1 Navi Card BDGF-66-EZ1 BDGF66EZ1

3 years of map updates is okay for the $45
I have this installed into a 2020 Mazda 3 sedan. The dealership wants $449.99 for this navigation SD Card, which I think is ridiculous. For that price, I can get last year's flagship phone, load Android Auto and download the offline maps for all of North America (or the whole planet). That aside, I prefer using Android Auto, so this is more of a backup for those times when I don't have my phone with me. I find it a bit more "involved" to use this than it's to use Google Maps on Android Auto. For example, when using voice navigation, I just give Google one command, but with the built-in navigation...have to say a few separate commands. The maps are supposedly provided by Here, but to me it didn't seem as good as the Here maps on my PC. I downloaded the Mazda Toolbox Update to download the most recent maps. The maps that was on my SD Card were from Q3 2018, but even though it's Q4 2019, they only have the Q2 2019 map available for download (the latest). I guess Here maps aren't updated that often? Got 3 years worth of updates, but if it's not updated that often...not sure of how much value that 3 year is worth. Before updating the navigation SD Card, I did a backup before doing the update, but couldn't find it...and when I went to restore, there was no backups among the list. I had to do it a second time before it actually saved a backup (it doesn't let you know where the backup is stored).

Logitech M500 Huper Fast Advanced Corded Mouse
17 October 2017
Could be a bit bigger
I wanted to buy another ergonomic mouse to replace my failing MS Intellimouse 3.0 (more than a decade old). While the M500 is ergonomic in terms of the shape, I find that the body is a bit short (like 1cm short compared to the MS mouse) that it doesn't really fit my palm that well. Even though the mouse tracks well on any surface, I feel that I need to get one of those gel mousepads because the part of my palm near my wrist is dragging on the table/surface due to the shorter body of the M500. In terms of function, I like having the side-to-side scrolling that the Intellimouse 3.0 doesn't have. The Intellimouse 4.0 has the side to side scrolling, but it doesn't work that well (this works much better). I also like the hyper-scrolling (I can use it regularly for more silent scrolling). I normally program my scroll button to be double-click, but I don't like the feel of the scroll button for that purpose. I like the more "predictable" feel of the M510 better for example. Other than that (and the size of the body), I think this mouse is okay.
Master Power Window Door Switch for 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra NEW
07 August 2019
It looks and feels cheap, but it works
After nearly 20 years, the window switch on the front passenger started acting up and would only work intermittently when closing it. At first I thought it was the window regulator...but it turned out to be the switch. This switch is quite cheap, but perhaps the quality is reflected in its low price. Here are some of the differences I noticed when I got it. The replacement switch (bottom part) is a bit taller than the OEM switch (doesn't matter for installation, just something I noticed). The other thing I noticed is that the switches look and feel cheap compared to the OEM switch. The OEM has a more refined, polished look. The feel on the window switch seems a bit too "light," giving that flimsy feel...but at the same time, the door-lock rocker switch is quite stiff (almost too stiff). The window lock switch is not quite centered relative to the switch cover for some reason (it's offset a bit to the left). I tried to shift the assembly before tightening the three screws, but to no avail. I thought about returning it...but since it's an old car, I decided to just keep it.
