If you use the features go for it; if you don't - pass!

The feature set of this display is remarkable
-27" 2560 x 1440 (max) WQHD Resolution
-16:9 Widescreen Aspect Ratio
-80,000: 1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
-In-Plane Switching technology (IPS) delivers crisp/sharp/bright images and over 1 billion colors
-An extraordinary arry of inputs
But, you have to ask yourself, do you really need it for your intendted purposes? This is an amazing unit for CAD and Graphics work, other than that I think it may be a waste of money.
-There is a slight input lag that makes the monitor less than ideal for gaming
-It throws off more heat than I would have imagined
-Do you need ips technology? for 99% of what most people do an inexpensive TN panels looks just as good
-The high res can be a curse and a blessing. I know of people that end up running this display in 1920x1080 mode because of the very small pixel size.
-It's not that much larger than a 24" 16:10 display (which can be had for under $200 these days)
-It has a coating on the screen, at this price point I think Dell would have been smart to keep the display glossy.
All in all I am satisifed with my purchase as I do CAD & Graphics work 12-15 hours a day, but if were a casual home or typical busines user I would keep looking.
