A good, firm grip
The mount is strong and stable, holds the Garmin unit positively and in the necessary position.
Unfortunately, this inevitably means mounting the unit high up on the screen, with trailing cables across the dash. All rather unsightly, and if you want to pair-up the Sat-Nav with the accessory rear-view camera, then the power lead has to be replaced with another (supplied with the camera) containing a receiver "brick" in-line.
If I'd done more research beforehand, I would not have bought a combined Sat-Nav & Camera unit, as separate units could be more-neatly wired in... But it is what it is, and works ok. Just not very neatly.
