Year of the Dog-DVD
Although this movie is slightly slapstick in nature, I recommend it highly for any animal lover. I was thrilled that Molly Shannon's character decided to follow her own heart at the movie's end. The song closed with the perfect song as well: Cat Stevens "I Love My Dog".

hauntingly beautiful music that touches the soul
This review is long overdue as I purchased it over six months ago. First, let me state that although I'm supposed to review the product and not the seller, in this case, it's impossible not to review both. The CD is all about the seller, Thom Pace. I will start by saying that I originally bought this CD for one song: "Maybe", which is the theme song to the 70s TV series, "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams". When I received the CD, personally autographed to me, from Thom himself.....a nice touch that Thom does for all his buyers, I first read the liner notes that accompanied the CD, as I wanted to know more about what I was about to listen to. In these notes, Thom explained that he had many requests for the Grizzly Adams song, and that he hoped his listeners would be satisfied with that. Well, Thom, I am more than satisfied. In continuing to read the liner notes, Thom states that most of the songs were not necessarily written for the public, but, rather for him. With that, I put the CD into my player, and started listening. I was immediately taken by the opening song titled "Who I am", a hauntingly beautiful and somewhat tragic tale, that somehow mirrored my own life when I grew up as a teenager in the 70s. After listening to the entire CD, "Who I Am" became my favorite. Strange, I guess, that I purchase the CD for one song and another becomes my favorite. Other memorable tunes include the title cut, "Not in Compliance", "Yeh Right" "America Plays" and others. These songs talk about problems with todays society and hope for a better future, something I'm sure we all want. Thom tells these stories with beautiful melodies and wonderful humor. Listening to "Not in Compliance" made me wanting more, that I went on to purchase a custom CD that Thom customizes to each buyer. This CD also comes with a demo CD with 12 more great songs. Thom once told me in an E Mail that he wishes he had more time to write songs that were for him. Well, Thom, I say GO FOR IT!! If they are anything like the magic of "Not in Compliance", they are bound to be winners. Thom is usually considered to be a one hit wonder because of his mega hit, "Maybe", but with "Not in Compliance" one hit wonder, he is definitely not anymore. Without a doubt, I'll be back for more.
