Save Your Money, Unless You're Grooming a Mexican Hairless
5 of 7 found this helpful I realize I have a problem pet when it comes to grooming (Labradoodle) but when this item didn't work on the dog I tried it on the cat and it still didn't work. The quality is fine, and it works well without the hair guards. But if you don't want to shave your pet bare, the groomer is almost useless. When I tried all the hair guards, the groomer didn't cut any hair. So I followed the instructions (which were very poor and didn't cover what I really needed to know) and cut the dog's hair first with a scissors and then tried to finish it off with the clippers. Still didn't work. I finally compromised by taking off the guards, turning the clippers upside down, and swiping at the fur without going all the way to the hide. Pretty poor item. A good scissors does just as well, or buy a professional grooming kit.
