They don't last forever, need to replace every 15-20yr's
Replaced 20 yr old unit exactly like it that had quit cycling. Popped off face of old unit and snapped on new one, HVAC is now cycling like it should. The electronic units do wear out, they're not like the old mercury bulb units that lasted forever.
