High quality and great value
This is a high quality transmitter. Way better than the ones intended to go in a car. The integrated telescoping antenna works better than the "hockey pucks" with the antenna built into the printed circuit board. The other brands have a constant hum. This one is quiet. And you can tune it in 0.1 MHz increments which means, if your receiver is capable of it, you can use a non-standard frequency "in between" stations if you live in a metropolitan area where almost every available frequency is used. The range is short but it is supposed to be by FCC rule. Mine works fine for about 40 feet. (Don't buy one of those illegally overpowered Chinese models unless you plan on applying for an FCC broadcast license. FCC regulations exist for a reason!)

You NEED this power supply.
1 of 1 found this helpful By far the best low power lab bench supply for prototyping and equipment testing. These supplies were designed and built during the golden years of top-quality USA built HP laboratory equipment. No flimsy, shoddily built, unreliable Chinese product here. I've seen many examples of this model used daily in a laboratory environment for decades with practically no failures. Super rugged and reliable. Just in case an unlikely future failure were to occur, I recommend you download the easy to find service manual from the internet. Due to the solid design using mostly industry standard components (and through hole construction) you will be able to keep it running for years to come.

Suitable only for UNBALANCED signals

All connectors pin 2 wired together (signal)
All connectors pins 1 and 3 wired together (shield)
While the quality is fine, that this is NOT a BALANCE cable. This cable is unbalanced. If used to split a microphone or other balanced signal, pins 1 and 3 will be shorted together. The result is that you no longer have a balance signal and you will give up the noise rejection associated with a balanced signal. While it may work fine for a short distance or in an environment without interference sources nearby, this does not work for long cable runs.
I tried to use it to split a line level signal to two amplifies (powered monitors), one close by and one about 60 feet away. It picked up hum. I switched to my home build (balanced) Y cable, and the hum was gone.
Another issue is that if this item is connected to a mixer with phantom power, it will short out the phantom power coming from the mixer.
I was able to use some of my own balanced cable and rewire this item into a balance splitter but the point of buying it was so that I would not have to build it myself.
