Don't buy this if you think you will ever need customer service
1 of 5 found this helpful My problem comes from downloading video from the camera or from the SD chip. The camera is set to record in NTSC or so it tells me that. when I try to download I get an error message and the computer is telling me this is recorded in a format that is not recognized. The same computer program will download from a different panasonic camera so the problem is not my computer or the panasonic supplied program. I had several conversations with Panasonic and to make it short they can't or won't help, and went as far as to tell me i am just screwed. I will not be buying any panasonic equipment in the future. there is no customer service.

I feel totaly screwed by Panasonic, don't buy it!
My problems with this camera are with downloading the video to the computer. The camera will record video in what I think is NTSC or so the camera tells me that. I try to download video and the computer tells me that the video is recorded in something other than NTSC. The computer downloads other Panasonic cameras with no problem. I have been in contact with Panasonic about this and they have told me that I am Out of Luck because this camera came from overseas, they can't or wont help me. I will not be buying Panasonic in the future nor should you if you want any sort of customer support.

This camera makes me a better photographer
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this camera to go with me on extended outdoor trips as it is impractical to bring enough batteries and computer to download images. This camera is the absolute finest in the film medium. Rugged, accurate, dependable, can't say enough. the only problem is that it is built like a tank, but you get accustomed to it being a bit weighty when you see the pic's it takes. Great camera
