Improved water clarity
I purchased this to use in my malawi tank. I actually thought the water was clear before I put this is into one of my two filters, but have noticed a big difference - it certainly is crystal clear now. Also has the added benefit of raising the pH to where it wants to be for this particular type of fish.

Effective but NOT snail safe
Product effectively kills planaria but beware, it will also kill any snails in your tank - something which isn’t stated on packaging.

Very inaccurate, not fit for purpose
I bought 4 of these and placed in the same tank, they display a temperature ranging from 22 to 26 degrees (actual temp 24.5 with infrared thermometer). Not accurate enough to be fit for purpose. I would expect +/- 1 degree accuracy, even from a cheap and cheerful product like this.
