SD, but still a quality camera
1 of 1 found this helpful Well, first off, this product was advertised as the DVX100, and it was actually the DVX100B... my gain.
The DVX100B, in fact all of the DVX100,A & B are all now outdated, and have been superseded by HD alternatives. The DVX100B is still none-the-less an excellent camera, and as a first camera for the film-maker on a micro-budget, it's an excellent choice.
Main benefits of a camera like this and the DSLR types (of which one I own) is the ease of use - nice zoom capabilities, iris control just by your thumb, and easy picture settings so you can just dial in that film-look.
Image stabilisation is excellent - there are better, but you'll have the price tag attached. Two XLR slots compliment a quality built-in sound set-up.
